I have a degree in Biological Sciences, I acquired my qualification as a Biology Professor (2003) and Bachelor's degree (2005) at the University of Grande ABC, later redirecting my aptitude to the Health Sciences Area, in this context I obtained my Master's (2009) and Doctorate (2013) degrees, both from the Discipline of Nephrology, Department of Medicine of the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP). I then obtained my Post-doctoral (2020) in the postgraduate program in translational medicine from the Department of Medicine of UNIFESP. I recently finished my collaboration as a Volunteer Researcher in the Uremia Laboratory of the Discipline of Nephrology, here at the Federal University of São Paulo, where I worked studying the pathophysiological effects of anemia and the stimulators/inhibitors of Erythropoiesis. Initially, my expertise was focused on Diabetes Mellitus. I developed my studies from my Master's to Post-Doctorate evaluating possible Adjunctive Therapies that could attenuate the progression of Diabetic Nephropathy. Among them, I showed that physical activity, as well as the control of oxidative stress, can be important tools in controlling Pathology. I also observed how the activation of some purinergic receptors and the reduction of the expression of the Klotho gene can corroborate the worsening of the disease. As mentioned above, I continued the pathophysiological study of kidney diseases, studying the mechanisms embedded in Chronic Kidney Disease and how uremic solutes make the disease very harmful to patients.
