My research focuses on the effects of climate change and marine ecosystems, with an emphasis on marine top predators.

Currently, I am working on the project titled "Quantifying and Predicting the Effects of Extreme Weather Events on Terrestrially-breeding Marine Vertebrates." This study examines how extreme weather events impact the breeding success and population dynamics of these vertebrates. Using long-term population data and breeding success records, the research aims to identify the most vulnerable species and populations in the Southern Hemisphere.

My master's projects included studies on the “Decadal Changes in the At-sea Distributions and Abundances of Black-browed and Light-mantled Sooty Albatrosses” and “Whale and Dugong Sightings in the Andaman Sea, off the Coast of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands,” conducted at universities in Australia and India.

I have gained practical experience beyond my academic studies by working as a research assistant, academic tutor, and professional assistant. I have been involved in projects analysing marine bird colonies, tutoring students in ecology and Antarctic studies, and engaging in outreach and communication with general audiences. I have also volunteered in wildlife conservation. As a field biologist, I have conducted research in remote locations, including islands in India, Australia, and Antarctica, where I developed strong fieldwork and data collection skills in challenging environments. Additionally, I have strong analytical and geospatial skills, particularly in using R and QGIS.
