Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS). Completed a multidisciplinary residency program in adult and elderly health at the University Hospital (HU-UFS). Holds a Master’s and Doctorate degree from the Graduate Program in Health Sciences at the Federal University of Sergipe (PPGCS). During the doctoral program, conducted and contributed to various systematic reviews with meta-analyses on the effects of physical training (aerobic and resistance) in cardiovascular disorders, including systemic arterial hypertension, heart failure, and heart transplantation. Additionally, investigated the effects of certain medications on the physical performance of patients with heart failure. Currently serves as a substitute professor at UFS in the Department of Physiotherapy.

Research interests include: the effects of different modalities of physical training on patients with cardiovascular dysfunctions and the impact of medications on the aerobic capacity of these patients. Fields of expertise encompass cardiology, physiology, physical performance, and pharmacology. Maintains national and international research collaborations and develops projects in partnership with researchers from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), State University of Pernambuco (UPE), Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp), and the School of Science and Technology at the University of New England (Australia).
