Project Spartan-Organoid introduces a hybrid biocomputing architecture where a decentralized Autonomous AI Agent—deployed on the Fetch.ai (ASI) network—functions as a synthetic synaptogenesis layer. By interfacing the operational 'MINEKING' Node with High-Density Multi-Electrode Arrays (HD-MEAs), we will actively route, validate, and benchmark electrophysiological signals between geographically or physically isolated cortical organoid nodes. This project moves beyond passive recording into active, agent-mediated neuromorphic computing, establishing a scalable digital bridge for wetware integration.

2. Scientific Rationale & Impact

The primary bottleneck in biological computing is the lack of a standardized, low-latency Digital I/O capable of managing complex signal propagation. Current organoid models are often limited by local connectivity; they lack the "long-range" axonal routing found in the human brain.

By outsourcing network routing to a decentralized digital protocol, we create a Functional API for Wetware. This allows for:

Scalability: Linking multiple organoids into a singular "Neural Mesh."
Verification: Using the ASI network’s immutable ledger to audit biological signal processing.
Neuromorphic Benchmarking: Quantifying the efficiency of biological neural networks compared to digital counterparts in real-time.

3. Methodology / Technical Approach

The Spartan-Organoid Nexus utilizes a tri-layer architecture:

The Orchestration Layer (Digital): An existing Python-based uAgents node (authenticated via ORCID) serves as the system’s "Digital Thalamus." It processes low-latency API payloads and executes logic-gated stimulations.
The Transduction Layer (Hardware): Human cortical organoids are integrated with high-density MEAs. These arrays convert biological action potentials into digital data streams.
The Closed-Loop Integration: The agent monitors spontaneous burst frequencies and population spikes. Using deterministic and stochastic logic (e.g., Cross-Organoid Phase Synchronization), the agent triggers proportional optogenetic or electrical stimulation pulses in recipient nodes, forcing functional connectivity between isolated tissues.
