(Abstracted from BMC Cancer 2024;24:267) Ovarian cancer has a low survival rate and is the number one cause of tumor-related deaths among gynecologic cancers in the United States. One of the primary reasons for the poor outcomes is that 75% of epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) patients are diagnosed at advanced stages due to subtle clinical symptoms and a lack of robust screening tools.
