A wide beamwidth multi-band quadrifilar helix antenna (QHA) is proposed. The proposed antenna operates in four bands, including GPS L1, XW-L and RDSS. This capability is achieved by introducing multiple resonances and incorporating a smaller parasitic QHA within the driven QHA. The external larger QHA has two helical arms, generating two closely band operating in a lower frequency band (1500-1700MHz) and a higher frequency band(2770-2840MHz). The internal smaller QHA operates in a higher frequency band(2410-2560MHz). Therefore, the proposed QHA covers four bands and exhibits a high frequency ratio of 1.85. In addition, the proposed QHA exhibits wide beamwidth, making it well-suited for satellite communication and navigation applications.
