(Abstracted from Gynecol Oncol 2024;179:79–84) Advanced cervical cancer is commonly treated with concurrent chemotherapy and external beam radiation therapy (RT), followed by brachytherapy (BT) boost. Brachytherapy allows dose escalation to the central disease while limiting the dose to normal surrounding organs including the bladder, rectum, and small bowel and sigmoid colon.
