Abstract

We have developed a cross-polarized microscope (CPM) that could visualize pigmented cells in human skin in vivo . The CPM device allowed for visualization of pigmented cells over a relatively large skin area (2.6 mm 2 ), which could facilitate the spatial registration between CPM and standard dermatoscopy.
