Chromosomal rearrangements of the gene encoding ROS1 proto-oncogene receptor tyrosine kinase (ROS1) define a distinct molecular subgroup of non–small-cell lung cancers (NSCLCs) that may be susceptible to therapeutic ROS1 kinase inhibition.
