Dr. Beatrice Dionigi is an attending surgeon and assistant professor of surgery within the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center in New York, NY. She is also the associate program director of the General Surgery Residency and co-director of the Early Onset Colorectal Cancer Program, and the founder and president of Columbia's WINGS program—Women in Surgery Association. Originally from Pavia, Italy, she completed her medical school at the Università degli Studi di Pavia Facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia, graduating with honors. Dr. Dionigi then performed her General Surgery Internship at NYPH Cornell Medical Center and her General Surgery Residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA, including a postdoctoral surgery research fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital. Following this, she performed her Colorectal Surgery fellowship at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson University in New Brunswick, NJ, before spending two additional years with us at the Cleveland Clinic as a clinical associate—focusing on reoperative and complex abdominal pelvic surgery.
