In the bottomonium sector, the hindered magnetic dipole transitions between P-wave states <a:math xmlns:a="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><a:mrow><a:msub><a:mrow><a:mi>h</a:mi></a:mrow><a:mrow><a:mi>b</a:mi></a:mrow></a:msub><a:mo stretchy="false">(</a:mo><a:mn>2</a:mn><a:mi>P</a:mi><a:mo stretchy="false">)</a:mo><a:mo stretchy="false">→</a:mo><a:msub><a:mrow><a:mi>χ</a:mi></a:mrow><a:mrow><a:mi>b</a:mi><a:mi>J</a:mi></a:mrow></a:msub><a:mo stretchy="false">(</a:mo><a:mn>1</a:mn><a:mi>P</a:mi><a:mo stretchy="false">)</a:mo><a:mi>γ</a:mi></a:mrow></a:math>, <h:math xmlns:h="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><h:mi>J</h:mi><h:mo>=</h:mo><h:mn>0</h:mn></h:math>, 1, 2, are expected to be severely suppressed according to the relativized quark model, due to the spin flip of the <j:math xmlns:j="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><j:mi>b</j:mi></j:math> quark. Nevertheless, a recent model following the coupled-channel approach predicts the corresponding branching fractions to be enhanced by orders of magnitude. In this Letter, we report the first search for such transitions. These values help to constrain the parameters of the coupled-channel models. The results are obtained using a <pb:math xmlns:pb="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><pb:mn>121.4</pb:mn><pb:mtext> </pb:mtext><pb:mtext> </pb:mtext><pb:msup><pb:mi>fb</pb:mi><pb:mrow><pb:mo>−</pb:mo><pb:mn>1</pb:mn></pb:mrow></pb:msup></pb:math> data sample taken around <rb:math xmlns:rb="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><rb:msqrt><rb:mi>s</rb:mi></rb:msqrt><rb:mo>=</rb:mo><rb:mn>10.860</rb:mn><rb:mtext> </rb:mtext><rb:mtext> </rb:mtext><rb:mi>GeV</rb:mi></rb:math> with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy <tb:math xmlns:tb="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><tb:msup><tb:mi>e</tb:mi><tb:mo>+</tb:mo></tb:msup><tb:msup><tb:mi>e</tb:mi><tb:mo>−</tb:mo></tb:msup></tb:math> collider.
