ResearchHub’s North Star metric of weekly active contributors has grown 1000% over the last year.

Features shipped:

Last year our goal was to get ResearchHub into the day-to-day workflow of scientists. The team built and iterated on a variety of features that help our users write, publish, peer review, and fund their work directly on ResearchHub.

Reference Manager

We built a reference manager to help users save & annotate PDFs

In-line commenting

We now convert PDFs to HTML to let users peer review in real-time using in-line comments

Users are creating peer reviews with inline comments to better communicate the details of a publication that could be improved.

Funding

Users can share a preregistration to raise RSC crowdfunding for their scientific projects

Additional Features

In addition, we shipped a few extra features to help make interactions on ResearchHub more engaging.

Author verification

We can verify which users have previously published scientific papers

Peer review bounties

Peer review bounties are automatically placed on the most upvoted bioRxiv preprints

Prepopulated preprints

We automatically import all new bioRxiv preprints and have added 6.5M other recent publications to ResearchHub
