Research scientist with expertise in wound healing and regenerative medicine

Qingyu Luo (/tʃɪŋ:ü/ /lʊɒ/) earned his medical degree in clinical medicine from Dalian Medical University, where he first developed a passion for unraveling the complexities of cancer biology. During his PhD at Peking Union Medical College—the top-ranked medical school in China—he led over 10 collaborative translational research projects and received the Dean’s Award, an honor granted to only 13 out of more than 1,300 graduates.

While at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Qingyu pioneered a method to convert complex biological features into predictive biomarkers for leukemia treatment response, along with an ex vivo culture system to test drug sensitivity using fresh patient samples. These breakthroughs, published in Nature, led to a clinical trial and earned him a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School. His scientific achievements have also been recognized with several prestigious honors, including the MedChemExpress Award for Scientists Promoting Biology and Medicine Research, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Fellow Award, and the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research.

Beyond scientific research, Qingyu has contributed to science and healthcare in multiple ways. He founded Real BioConsulting, a company that provides professional scientific solutions to academic institutions and biotech firms. He also serves as an Associate Editor at the ResearchHub Foundation, supporting the mission of decentralized science. As Co-founder and President of One Patient One Cure, Qingyu combines his expertise in medicine and biology with artificial intelligence to help usher in a new era of personalized, accessible, and cost-effective healthcare.
