We present a tomographic scheme, based on spacetime symmetries, for thereconstruction of the internal degrees of freedom of a Dirac spinor. We discussthe circumstances under which the tomographic group can be taken as SU(2), andhow this crucially depends on the choice of the gamma matrix representation. Atomographic reconstruction process based on discrete rotations is considered,as well as a continuous alternative.

We discuss various aspects of inclusive top-quark pair production based onTOPIXS, a new, flexible program that computes the production cross section atthe Tevatron and LHC at next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy in softand Coulomb resummation, including bound-state effects and the completenext-to-next-to-leading order result in the q-qbar channel, which has recentlybecome available. We present the calculation of the top-pair cross section inpp collisions at 8 TeV centre-of-mass energy, as well as the cross sections forhypothetical heavy quarks in extensions of the standard model. The dependenceon the parton distribution input is studied. Further we investigate the impactof LHC top cross section measurements at sqrt(s)=7 TeV on global fits of thegluon distribution using the NNPDF re-weighting method.

In this note we study the U-duality invariant coefficient functions of highercurvature corrections to the four-graviton scattering amplitude in type IIBstring theory compactified on a torus. The main focus is on the $D^6R^4$ termthat is known to satisfy an inhomogeneous Laplace equation. We exhibit a novelmethod for solving this equation in terms of a Poincar\'e series ansatz andrecover known results in $D=10$ dimensions and find new results in $D<10$dimensions. We also apply the method to modular graph functions as they arisefrom closed superstring one-loop amplitudes.
