Driven and analytical scientist with a passion for the application of genomics and epigenomics to better understand primary liver cancer and liver development and has worked previously in the fields of brain development and the pathogenesis of neurodevelopmental disorders. Known as an innovative thinker, with strong written and oral communication skills, a team-oriented mindset and ability to solve complex problems. As a recepient of the Michael Smith Health Research BC Trainee Fellowship, I am currently completing a post-doctoral term investigating the epigenetic and transcriptomic alterations in primary liver cancer using the latest single-cell technologies. I am interested in eventually persuing research scientist position in either an academic or industry setting and leading a research team. Other interests include hiking/camping, pickup basketball and the NBA, music, playing the piano and music production, surfing and craft beer.
