Purpose This research explores and examines the change in perception artificial intelligence (AI) technology can bring in various human resources (HR) functions [(perception of change that AI can create in the talent acquisition (PAITA), perception of change that AI can create in the training and development (PAITD), perception of change that AI can create in the performance assessment (PAIPA) and perception of change that AI can create in the pay and rewards (PAIPR)] and its impact on intention to adopt AI by HR professionals. Additionally, as the literature on trust in AI is scanty, the mediation influence of AI-tech trust was also examined. Design/methodology/approach Cross-sectional data were gathered from 264 HR professionals from Indian e-commerce organizations. The model has been tested using a two-step partial least squares-based, structural equational modeling (PLS-SEM) technique. Findings AI uses algorithms for creating accurate and trustworthy information databases; it also enables quick data access and transmission, which enhances HR functions. Employees’ perception of the change that AI can bring to various HR functions significantly impacts the adoption of AI in HR. Additionally, AI-tech trust positively mediates all the hypothesized relationships. Originality/value Based on stimulus-organism-response (S-O-R) and affordance theory, this study significantly increases the understanding of how employees perceive changes in various HR functions as a result of AI implementation and how much they trust the AI technology. This study also addresses the lack of research on AI integration in HR, with a special focus on developing countries.

Purpose This paper aims to examine the influence of environmental concerns and consumers’ knowledge of green brands on their purchasing decisions of green products, utilising green trust as a mediator. Design/methodology/approach Responses from 383 Indian consumers were collected, which was analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The causal relationships between latent variables and mediating effect of green trust were investigated by performing Structural Equation modelling. Findings Green trust served as a crucial factor in mediating the relationship between environmental concern and green purchase decision. Trust in eco-friendly products significantly influenced the consumers’ decisions to make green purchases. The study further validated that environmental concern significantly influences individuals’ decisions to make green purchases. Research limitations/implications The study employed a cross-sectional research design to elucidate the relationship among the factors. However, a longitudinal research design is recommended for further study to ascertain the actual purchase decision and evaluate the reliability of the results. Practical implications Marketers can use the study findings to understand consumer knowledge better and trust in green and sustainable products. The proposed model will support marketers and policymakers in developing appropriate marketing strategies as well as facilitate educating consumers about the nuances of green products and the habit of buying eco-friendly products. Originality/value Study’s novel contribution is mediation between environmental concern and green purchase decision through green trust.

Abstract: The eye is the most delicate organ protected by several complex biological barriers that are static and dynamic. The presence of these ocular barriers retards drug absorption from topically applied dosage forms at the conjunctival sac. The efficient topical delivery of the drug into the globe is more difficult to achieve, and there is a need to develop a topical formulation that may reduce the use of injections and increase patient compliance with decreased frequency of administration. With the advancements of research in nanotechnology, nanoemulsions can be used as biocompatible carriers to deliver the drug to the ocular cavity. The lipophilic globules can increase the solubility of hydrophobic cargos, which provide increased permeation ability and ocular bioavailability, which can sustain drug release and corneal retention. Because of their small size, these formulations do not cause blurring of vision. Over the past decade, Nanoemulsions (NEs) have been used to treat several ocular diseases in the anterior eye segment. This review contains the global economic burden of ocular diseases, challenges in formulating ocular formulations, and recent advances of these NEs as effective carriers for ocular drug delivery, highlighting their performance in pre-clinical studies.

This research endeavors to analyze the impact of sustainability practices (SP) on the revisit intentions (RVI) and recommendation intentions (RCI) of young professionals staying in budget hotels through the mediating effect of guest comfort (GC). The study also examines the moderating role of technology readiness (TR) of the guest on the proposed relationships. Data were collected from 505 young Indian professionals working in service sectors located in Chandigarh Tri-city and Delhi NCR (India) and who travel for work and stay at mid-priced hotels. The structural equation modeling (SEM) technique was used to analyze the proposed hypotheses. The results show that SP has a positive impact on GC, RVI, and RCI. Further, GC has positive impact on RVI and RCI. The results also show that TR moderates the relationship between SP and GC. Finally, the relationship between GC and RCI is also moderated by TR. Customers’ RVI and RCI are not only created when hotels incorporate SP but also when the degree of GC is not compromised but enhanced. In this way, it is recommended that managers carefully use the SP as an important tool to raise the level of GC. The study reveals that young professionals tend to have strong RVI and RCI toward such hotels, which have implemented technology and SP in the hotel operations while maintaining the GC level. In this sense, the SP implemented by the hotels acts as a strategic tool in the creation of GC, RVI, and RCI.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to analyze the existing literature in the domain of financial inclusion and emphasizing forthcoming trends. It examines recent literature while assessing the geographical distribution, identifying well-known authors, publications, journals and keyword occurrences. Design/methodology/approach Based on a scientific search technique, bibliometric analysis in the field of financial inclusion was carried out on a sample of 2,125 Scopus documents for the years 2004–2022. A VOS viewer was used in the study as a tool for performance evaluation and analysis of the science mapping. Findings The bibliometric analysis illustrates that India and the USA are dominating in financial inclusion field with significant contributions. The most well-known authors were Ghosh, S. and Munene, J.C. and International Journal of Social Economics was considered as the best journal. Finally, six prominent clusters were identified through keyword analysis. The major themes revolve around digitalization, economic development, demographic and geographic factors and financial literacy. Practical implications The research helps in providing information for formulating financial inclusion policies for RBI and Government of India. A comprehensive literature assessment is useful for future scholars to develop a solid conceptual framework. This research would help practitioners to formulate strategies for rural population to enhance their earnings, investments and money. Originality/value This study can supply data to describe the framework of earlier financial inclusion studies and provides potential directions for future research.
