Large N Chern-Simons with massive fundamental fermions - A model with no bound states
Hao Hu
et al.
Sep 22, 2014
In a previous paper, we analyzed the theory of massive fermions in thefundamental representation coupled to a U(N) Chern-Simons gauge theory in threedimensions at level K. It was done in the large N, large K limits whereLambda=N/K was kept fixed. Among other results, we showed there that there areno high mass quark anti-quark bound states. Here we show that there are nobound states at all.

Ultraviolet divergences in maximal supergravity from a pure spinor point of view
Anna Karlsson
et al.
Dec 18, 2014
The ultraviolet divergences of amplitude diagrams in maximal supergravity areinvestigated using the pure spinor superfield formalism in maximalsupergravity, with maximally supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory for reference. Wecomment on the effects of the loop regularisation in relation to the actualabsence of high powers (within the degrees of freedom) of the non-minimalvariable r. The absence affects previous results of the field theorydescription, which is examined more closely (with a new b-ghost) with respectto the limit on the dimension for finiteness of the theory, dependent on thenumber of loops present. The results imply a cut-off of the loop dependence atsix loops for the 4-point amplitude, and at seven loops otherwise.
