Dr. Sachin Kumar works as an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the American University of Armenia. Before joining AUA, Dr. Kumar was a leading scientist in the Laboratory of Big Data and Machine Learning at South Ural State University (SUSU, National Research University) in Chelyabinsk, Russia, where he also served as a project leader for and participant in various research projects funded by the Russian Science Foundation from March 2019- June 2024. In December 2022, he received the SUSU Recognition Award in the "Science" category.

Dr. Kumar is also an associate editor and reviewer in several prestigious journals indexed in WoS and Scopus. In addition to his professional commitments, he also serves as a Ph.D. thesis examiner for several universities in India and China. He is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a life member of the International Association of Engineers (IAENG), and a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).

Research Interests: Smart healthcare, Internet of things, Intelligent transportation systems, and Natural language processing, Cognitive Science, and other machine learning application areas. He enjoys teaching a variety of core and elective courses related to computer science and data science.
